Desiree Flores Announced as Executive Director at General Service Foundation

The Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that Desiree Flores has accepted the position of Executive Director for the Foundation. Desiree stepped in as Interim ED last summer and has kept GSF’s grant making steady and impactful during a leadership transition. This is a transformational moment for the organization and there is no better leader to have in place at this time. Desiree brings her whole self to the position, building on her years working in the non-profit sector and her deep connection to GSF’s mission. Her long relationships with many of our friends in the field, helps to make this transition seamless, and lends its self to the ease in GSF’s effort to build deep partnerships and accomplish the most good.

It is in these chaotic and uncertain times that leaders who use their soft skills, as much as their hard skills, create the space for us all to do our best work. We know, Desiree’s strong and engaged heart and mind will serve not just the board and staff favorably, but more importantly GSF’s grantee partners as well.

We are truly grateful to work with Desiree in her new leadership role and look forward with joy to the GSF journey ahead.
